events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment
portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US
Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during
championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing
over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance
Amphitheater. COTALAND is a 20-acre theme park featuring two first
of their kind Roller Coasters and over three dozen rides opening
Summer of 2026. Job Description: The Supervisor, Talent & Creative
supports the development, casting, and ongoing maintenance of
COTALAND’s live entertainment portfolio, including stage shows,
character experiences, seasonal events, atmospheric entertainment,
and park-wide activations, under the direction of the Vice
President of Entertainment. This role is responsible for helping
bring new productions to life from concept through rehearsal and
opening, while also ensuring existing entertainment offerings
remain performance-ready through continued creative upkeep, talent
pipeline management, and choreography maintenance. The ideal
candidate is equal parts creative leader and organized producer
someone who can run auditions, guide performers, maintain show
quality, and protect the integrity of the COTALAND brand. This
position also plays an active role in helping grow and strengthen
the Entertainment Department as a contributing leader, supporting
team development, process improvement, and long-term creative
planning. Requirements: Show Development and Creative Support
Support the creative development and execution of new live
entertainment offerings, including stage shows, specialty acts, and
seasonal productions. Direct music production and voice over
recording sessions. Assist with concept development, show structure
and creative documentation. Partner with entertainment leadership
to coordinate rehearsals, creative reviews, staging needs, and show
launch timelines. Contribute to the continued growth of COTALAND
characters, storytelling, and guest-facing entertainment moments.
Auditions, Casting, and Talent Pipeline Plan and execute auditions
for performers, singers, dancers, character performers, specialty
talent, and seasonal entertainment roles. Coordinate casting needs
for new productions, replacements, and seasonal expansions.
Maintain an organized casting pipeline and talent database for
future hiring needs. Partner with HR and Entertainment leadership
to support performance expectations, and talent compliance
requirements. Provide performer support and communication
throughout the audition, casting, rehearsal, and scheduling
process. Rehearsal Leadership and Choreography Maintenance Maintain
and refresh choreography and staging for existing productions to
ensure long-term consistency, safety, and show quality. Lead
choreography clean-ups, brush-up rehearsals, remounts, and refresh
rehearsals as needed. Support the documentation of choreography,
blocking, spacing, and creative intent for long-term
sustainability. Collaborate with performers and stage management to
reinforce performance notes and elevate show polish. Identify
creative adjustments needed due to cast changes, seasonal overlays,
operational constraints, or venue updates. Show Quality and
Creative Standards Conduct ongoing performance observations to
ensure entertainment offerings remain aligned with show direction,
brand tone, and creative standards. Provide constructive feedback
and coaching to cast members in a positive, respectful, and
motivating manner. Support the development of show notes, rehearsal
schedules, and creative updates for entertainment teams. Ensure
entertainment performances remain guest-focused, energetic, and
consistent with the intended emotional experience. Department
Growth and Leadership Support Contribute as a proactive leader and
stakeholder in the growth of the Entertainment Department,
supporting a positive culture of collaboration, accountability, and
creative excellence. Assist in developing scalable processes for
auditions, casting, rehearsal operations, talent tracking, and show
sustainment. Support internal team communication, cross-training,
and mentorship opportunities that strengthen department
performance. Provide input and support for long-term entertainment
planning, seasonal expansion strategies, and ongoing creative
refresh initiatives. Represent Entertainment with professionalism
and solutions-driven leadership in cross-department discussions and
planning meetings. Cross-Department Collaboration Coordinate with
Entertainment Operations, Costuming, Technical, Scenic, and Park
Operations teams to support show readiness and execution.
Communicate creative requirements for costumes, props, staging,
audio needs, and space usage. Support run-throughs, rehearsals, and
operational integrations during events and park activations. Assist
in identifying and resolving issues impacting show quality, safety,
and guest experience. Administrative and Organizational Support
Maintain creative assets including scripts, rehearsal notes,
casting records, choreography documentation, and show bibles.
Support production calendars, rehearsal staffing needs, and
scheduling coordination. Track show changes, replacement needs, and
training updates to ensure continuity across entertainment
offerings. Ensure confidentiality and professionalism when handling
casting decisions, performance feedback, and internal creative
materials. Perform other duties to support the Entertainment
Department as assigned by the Vice President of Entertainment.
Basic Requirements & Essential Functions: 3 years of experience in
live entertainment production, casting, talent management, or show
development (theme park, cruise, theatrical, or events environment
preferred). Strong working knowledge of auditions, casting
processes, rehearsal leadership, and performer coaching. Experience
maintaining choreography, blocking, and show direction for repeat
performances and rotating casts. Strong communication skills with
the ability to lead, coach, and motivate performers. Highly
organized with the ability to manage multiple productions,
deadlines, and talent needs simultaneously. Comfortable working in
a fast-paced, guest-facing environment with shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications Background in choreography, dance
direction, performance direction, or rehearsal staging. Theme Park
entertainment or large-scale seasonal event experience. Familiarity
with character performance and family-friendly entertainment
standards. Experience building talent pipelines and maintaining
audition/casting systems. Basic understanding of entertainment
technical operations (audio cues, mic practices, staging, etc.).
Have a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Music/Audio editing
programs. Physical and Scheduling Requirements Ability to work
nights, weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods as required.
Ability to stand, walk, and work on-site for extended periods in
indoor and outdoor environments. Ability to safely participate in
rehearsals and staging environments, including stairs, platforms,
and backstage conditions. Work Environment This position operates
in an active entertainment environment and requires regular time in
rehearsal spaces, performance venues, and outdoor entertainment
zones throughout the park. The Supervisor, Talent & Creative must
be comfortable leading in both creative settings and operational
environments while maintaining a guest-first mindset and strong
show quality standards. This position is based on-site at COTALAND
Theme Park at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas and requires
flexibility for non-traditional hours during rehearsals, installs,
openings, and seasonal peak operations. Additional Qualifications:
Ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with
hands and arms. Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Work
in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year. The noise
level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud
