Job Description Job Description Benefits: Flexible schedule Opportunity for advancement Training & development POSITION: YOUTH SOCCER COACH/INSTRUCTOR (PART-TIME) POSITION OVERVIEW: We are hiring part-time passionate, engaging coaches who are committed to impacting Austin youth through soccer. BENEFITS/PERKS: $20-23/hour after completing paid training period (training paid at $15/hour) Potential to be promoted to Lead Coach after a full 10 weeks season ($25-$30/hr) Part-time flexible schedule Locations available around the greater Austin area: Austin, Georgetown, Round Rock, Leander, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Hutto, Buda, San Marcos, Kyle, Extra need in the following areas: Leander, Bee Cave, Lakeway, and *Dripping Springs Leadership training Communicative, supportive team centered on a culture of fun and excellence Fulfilling opportunity positively impacting children through soccer IDEAL CANDIDATES ARE: Enthusiastic and fun Patient and adaptable Professional and punctual Collaborative and communicative Confident and excited to work with children (can safely manage class of up to 12 children) Soccer/sports enthusiasts POSITION DETAILS Soccer Shots offers noncompetitive, introductory soccer classes (sessions) on a weekly basis at parks, preschools, daycares, indoor facilities, and elementary schools around the greater Austin area. Schedules are created seasonally (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) and determined based on ones availability and location. Coaches must be able to commit to an entire season schedule with priority given to those who are available at least 3 half-days out of the week (or a minimum of 8 hours a week). HOURS: Morning shift times generally run from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Afternoon shift times generally run from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Midday shift times are also available depending on the site (11:30-2:30 p.m.). Session times may vary depending on enrollment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 18 years of age Reliable transportation and a valid Drivers License Pass an FBI Criminal Background Check Fully authorized to work in the US without restriction Currently live in the greater Austin metropolitan area Currently certified or able to become CPR & First Aid certified Coaching or childhood education experience preferred OUR MISSION Soccer Shots is a youth soccer organization with a focus on building character through weekly soccer sessions.
