• Work on creating new capabilities for AI Platform while maturing the company's code base and development processes.
• Investigate new requirements and design of code base.
• Refactor existing functionality for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.
• Drive development effort End-to-End for timely delivery of high-quality solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision, and align with all applicable standards.
• Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.
• Responsibilities span all phases of solution development.
• Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms.
• Communicate status, issues, and risks in a detailed and timely manner.
• Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.QualificationsEmployer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Staff Data Engineer-related occupation. Alternatively, Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Staff Data Engineer-related occupation.Position requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Machine and deep learning
  • Python, Pyspark, SQL, and Java
  • Hive, MySQL, Redis, Flink, Flask, Django, Docker, and Airflow
  • AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Designing and building big data pipelines
  • Designing and implementing machine learning systems end-to-endAdditional InformationWorksite: Austin, TXTravel Requirements:This position does not require travel.Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
