CarMax, the nation’s largest retailer of used vehicles, is looking for a dedicated Second Shift Automotive Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your technical skills will be crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our inventory. You will be responsible for a wide range of mechanical services, conducting diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on various vehicle makes and models. This position offers the opportunity to work with a team that values integrity and transparency, providing a no-haggle, honest car buying and selling experience since 1993. Diagnose and repair vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction. Perform quality checks following repairs to confirm that all issues have been resolved. Conduct routine maintenance and vehicle inspections. Utilize diagnostic equipment to accurately pinpoint vehicle issues. Maintain a clean, organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to facilitate a smooth workflow. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong understanding of automotive systems and components. Excellent problem-solving skills. Efficient and effective communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance 401k ASE Certification is highly preferred.
