throughout their lifecycles. Your Impact at SAM Surveying and
Mapping LLC is hiring for the following role in Austin, TX: Project
Manager to Plan, direct, and coordinate utility and other
engineering projects from start to finish while ensuring services
meet SAM quality standards and client specifications. Plan and
implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency;
Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, billings, and
contracts; Establish work plans and staffing requirements for
multiple projects; Develop and implement solutions to meet business
requirements and manage project execution to ensure adherence to
schedule and scope; develop and conduct presentations to clients
and other critical stakeholders; interface with sub-consultants and
other business relationships; coordinate activities of project
team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing
schedules to ensure timely completion of project; manage and report
financial status including AR/WIP and billing cycles; Provide
guidance and direction as needed to the local Utility Engineering
project staff; and Mentoring, coaching, and counseling team
members. Multiple openings. What You Bring to SAM Bachelor's degree
(or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a
related field; Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or
related occupation; Position also requires five (5) years of
experience in each of the following: Tools: AutoCAD, Microstation,
Geopack, and MS Office Suite; CI/ASCE 38-22, Civil3D, and Open
Roads Design Software; Survey data collection and processing;
Conducting field investigations to identify existing utilities and
determine scope of potential conflicts; Underground utility
engineering standards and practices; Development of conceptual
utility alignment plans, utility construction estimates, and
activity schedules; Application of value engineering principles to
proposed utility designs to explore and evaluation of cost and time
saving design alternatives for utility adjustments; coordinating
and participating in project meetings with utility owners, clients,
the project teams, and regulatory agencies; Quality checks of field
data and CAD drafting of found activities; and Project and phase
management for large scale utility or other similar engineering
projects; Position also requires Texas Professional Engineer (PE)
