$20,000 Sign-On Bonus Available (external candidates only) We are looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) to work in one of our outpatient Dialysis departments. Our Dialysis Nurses provide care and support for patients suffering from acute and chronic renal (kidney) failure and are responsible for monitoring patients throughout their dialysis treatment. Location - Killeen, TX Outpatent Clinic Hours - Full Time Bonus - 10K Sign-On Bonus, paid out over 12 months Benefits - Our competitive benefits package includes: Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% Tuition Reimbursement In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of Dialysis Registered Nurses include (but are not limited to): Primes dialyzer and bloodlines Records patients' medical information and vital signs Readies dialysis equipment Oversees the dialysis treatment from start to finish Cannulates accesses Demonstrates the ability to remove femoral shealths & administer medications, including thrombolytics Cleans and dresses permanent and temporary catheters Monitors patient and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records information Identifies irregular dialysis reactions and notifies appropriate medical team members Secures blood works Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, self-administration of medication, if needed Maintains medical inventory Provides pre- and post procedure care to patients within the Hemodialysis Unit Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting Baylor Scott & White Health is the largest not-for-profit health care system in Texas, and one of the largest in the United States with 49 hospitals, more than 800 patient care sites and more than 5,800 affiliated physicians.
