Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RCIS, RCES, or RT license preferred Certifications: BLS & ACLS certification required Description: CONTRACT - CARDIAC CATH LAB TECH - 13 WEEKS - 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM ON CALL REQUIRED General Comments: The purpose of this position is to work in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment, assisting with interventional procedures. The unit consists of two Cath Labs and has a team of seven staff members. Staffing includes three RNs, three Cath Lab Techs, and one Charge Nurse Coordinator. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1. Equipment used includes Philips Xper FD20 and FD10, Shockwave, and Penumbra. Candidates must have experience in the Cath Lab and be able to conduct interventional assistance. This role requires flexibility and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The unit practices a dress code that includes hospital-issued scrubs. Typical procedures performed include LHC/RHC, Cardiomems, Shockwave, Penumbra, IABP pump, Impella, PFO Closure, and EKOS. Candidates with IR tech or EP tech experience are preferred but not required.
