Job Description Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a
travel Radiology Technician for a travel job in Austin, Texas. Job
Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiology Technician -
Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40
hours per week - Shift: 8 hours - Employment Type: Travel
Performance of exceptional quality routine and specialized
radiographic procedures at the request licensed independent
practitioner for interpretation by radiologists. The Specialist
integrates scientific knowledge; technical skills, patient
interaction and compassionate care resulting in diagnostic
information, and recognizes patient conditions essential for
successful completion of the procedure. The Specialist must
demonstrate a detailed understanding of human anatomy, physiology,
pathology and medical terminology. Radiographers must maintain a
high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure
technique. /n • Checks room daily for adequate stock necessary to
facilitate continuous exam flow. Maintains appropriate inventory as
indicated by posted par levels and updates supply lists when items
are needed. • Confirms patient identity with approved identifiers.
• Demonstrating age appropriate care with all patients,
appropriately prepares patients for procedures. • Verifies
patient’s pregnancy and informed consent statuses. • Assesses
factors that may contraindicate the procedure; such as, medication
contraindications, patient risk for reaction to medications,
patient history, laboratory results, insufficient patient
preparation or artifacts. • Based on order, determines type and
dose of contrast agent to be administered based on patient’s age,
weight and medical/physical status. • Anticipates and responds to
patients needs throughout the entire encounter. MUST have Pediatric
experience. /n Fluoro, X-ray, Portables, ER, and OR coverage –
strong tech /n Must have ARRT R.T.(R) /n Saturday, Sunday and
Monday 0630-1900 /n /n • Knowledge of Radiology physics and
procedures; understanding of Radiology principles that are
developmentally appropriate for ages 0 – adulthood. • Operation of
all required equipment including troubleshooting when necessary of
the equipment, including automated processors, copying/digitizing
film equipment, R.I.S., and PACS. • Basic life support and medical
terminology understanding is required. • Required for completely
satisfactory performance in this job is the successful
demonstration of the professional fundamental competencies. • Must
be articulate, courteous and supportive in dealing with patients,
parents, nursing, faculty, administrative and departmental
personnel so that excellent customer service and positive guest
relations are achieve, honor confidentiality, independently scan
patients by following the established protocols, demonstrate
excellent verbal and written skills. Required- Technical diploma
Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program Required- R-ARRT
- ARRT RegTech Radiography American Registry of Radiology
Technologists And CMRT - Cert Med Radiologic Techngst Texas Medical
Board Required- 3 years Radiology experience (any/all modalities).
QUALIFICATION/LICENSURE Work Authorization : US Citizen Preferred
