Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Operating Room Location: Austin, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,882 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/15/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN CVOR Profession: RN Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Tuesday through Friday Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR nurse in a high-volume hospital setting License: Current state nursing license Certifications: Current ACLS certification preferred; BLS required Must-Have: Candidates must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed. Description: The CVOR service line provides surgical interventions for routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, and placement of ventricular assist devices. The service line may include placement of Impella or intra-aortic balloon pumps, as well as adult ECMO. TAVR procedures are also performed in the endovascular operating room. Thoracic cases include both laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures. Vascular procedures range from placement and revision of ESRD grafts and fistulas to endovascular procedures. The service line comprises 4-6 operating rooms depending on daily volume, including an endovascular suite. The CVOR service line has the capacity to perform four concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. Candidates must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment with the ability to hit the ground running. Candidates will participate in call coverage for the service line after normal business hours and weekends, which may include holidays.
