Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and experienced Med Surg RN
Clinical Lead to join our faith-based healthcare organization. In
this pivotal role, you will lead the medical-surgical nursing staff
in one of our state-of-the-art healthcare facilities. Your primary
responsibilities will include overseeing patient care, ensuring
adherence to all health and safety regulations, and facilitating
the professional development of the nursing team. Through
compassionate care and clinical excellence, you will play a key
role in affirming our mission to transform healthcare and improve
health outcomes in the community. Manage daily operations in the
medical-surgical unit ensuring high-quality patient care. Supervise
and mentor medical-surgical nursing staff, promoting professional
growth and adherence to healthcare standards. Collaborate with
interdisciplinary healthcare teams to implement patient-centered
care plans. Monitor and ensure compliance with all healthcare
regulations and safety standards. Participate in the recruitment
and training of new staff members. Lead quality improvement
initiatives within the department. Handle patient complaints and
concerns effectively and compassionately. Strong leadership and
team management skills. In-depth knowledge of medical-surgical
nursing practices and principles. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. Ability to handle high-stress situations
calmly and efficiently. Proficient in EHR (Electronic Health
Record) systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current registered nurse (RN) license
in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
preferred. Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (CMSRN) is a
plus.
