Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Austin, TX Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Locum Obstetric Hospitalist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional maternal and neonatal care. This position offers a unique opportunity to utilize your expertise in a flexible, weekend-only schedule, providing valuable support to hospitals in Austin, TX. Required Skills: M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Valid and unrestricted Texas medical license or ability to obtain one Current DEA registration Strong clinical skills in obstetrics, fetal monitoring, and emergency obstetric procedures Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations effectively Nice to Have Skills: Experience as a hospitalist or in a similar acute care setting Previous locum tenens experience Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems BLS and NRP certifications Familiarity with hospital protocols and obstetric emergency management Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution At least 2 years of clinical practice in obstetrics Previous experience working in hospitalist or similar roles preferred Other Requirements: Weekends availability only, with flexibility for additional shifts preferred Willingness to travel as needed for locum assignments Compliance with all hospital credentialing and background check requirements Must possess or be eligible to obtain necessary licensure, certifications, and DEA registration under applicable laws Leverage your expertise in a flexible weekend role that offers excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits.
