Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation, a leading provider of post-acute healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our daytime shift. This role will focus on providing assistance to our physical therapists and delivering exceptional care to patients in our rehabilitation settings, including our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and possibly home health environments. Candidates will thrive in this role by embracing the opportunity to facilitate patient recoveries with personalized and expertly guided physical therapy services under the supervision of experienced physical therapists. Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans. Document patient progress and response to therapy. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Educate patients and families about treatment plans and ongoing care solutions. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to patient care and privacy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to operate therapy equipment safely and effectively Keen attention to detail Knowledge of healthcare safety protocols and cross-infection prevention Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current PTA state licensure or certification CPR certification
