Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse
(RN) specialized in Labor and Delivery (L&D) Transport to join
our faith-based healthcare organization. In this pivotal role, you
will be responsible for providing exceptional, compassionate care
to mothers and infants during transport situations in and between
our facilities. Leveraging Ascension's commitment to innovation and
personalized care, this position plays a crucial role in supporting
our mission to enhance health outcomes across our communities.
Provide high-quality nursing care for laboring mothers and newborns
in transit. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
plans in collaboration with healthcare teams. Operate and monitor
medical equipment used during transport and report any
malfunctions. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and
standards during transport. Maintain accurate, complete health care
records and reports. Administer medications as prescribed by
attending healthcare practitioner. Educate and support patients,
family members, and caregivers. Participate in continuing education
and training to stay abreast of the latest developments in maternal
and neonatal transport care. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications. Proficiency in
neonatal resuscitation and stabilization techniques. Strong
decision-making and problem-solving skills in high-pressure
environments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to use and troubleshoot medical transport equipment.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance
401k Valid RN license in the state of employment. Certified in
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Certification in Maternal and
Infant Health Transport preferred.
