Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 4x10hrs - Hours: 40 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center position in Austin, TX, requiring multi-modality experience and on-call availability. Details - Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a Level 1 Trauma Center and academic medical center - Department operates 2 labs and 1 hybrid OR, managing multiple modalities including Trauma, Interventional Radiology, Neuro, Cardiovascular, and Vascular - Experience with multiple modalities is preferred - Day shift schedule: 07:00–17:00 - Weekend and weeknight call required; must be able to respond on-site within 30 minutes during call shifts - 13-week contract Requirements - Active TX RN license or Compact license with TX as state of practice - Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab or related experience required - Current BLS certification required (AHA only) - Current ACLS certification required (AHA only) - One of the following credentials required: RCIS (CCI), CCI Cardiographic Tech specializing in EP, ARRT-R, ARRT-VI, ARRT-CI, or ARRT-CV - PALS preferred (AHA or ARC accepted) - High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience, OR Associate's/Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience - Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address - Two professional references required for consideration - Copies of certifications, license verification/Nursys, and Driver's License required for consideration - Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration Additional Information - Assist with and perform specialized imaging procedures including angiography, complex vascular and non-vascular interventional, and therapeutic procedures - Prepare and position patients, select anatomic and technical parameters, and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice - Observe patients during procedures, report abnormal activity, and monitor and recommend updates to protocols - Follow all radiation safety procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards - Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate American Traveler Job ID P-680174.
