Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team, providing top-notch nutritional services within our healthcare facilities. As part of our food services team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our commitment to excellence in patient care by ensuring all patients receive healthy, well-prepared meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences. This position requires meticulous attention to hygiene and food safety standards given the healthcare environment. Prepare and deliver meals to patients according to specified dietary requirements. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas to meet or exceed health code standards. Assist in the storage and inventory of food supplies and kitchen equipment. Follow all safety procedures for preparing food items to ensure high standards of quality and safety. Engage with patients and healthcare staff to get feedback on service and food quality. Participate in regular training sessions regarding safety and health standards. Knowledge of basic food preparation and hygiene. Ability to follow health and safety regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Capability to work independently and as a part of a team. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Food Handler's Certificate preferred. ServSafe certification is a plus.
