Job Description:
Manage the FCS enterprise database environment consisting of
Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL instances. Install, configure,
monitor, upgrade, and maintain databases in production and
non-production environments. Provide technical expertise and
hands-on support in the consolidation and migration of databases to
new hardware and platforms. Physical implementation of databases,
storage structures, high-availability solutions, replication, and
disaster recovery solutions. Design and implement databases in
accordance with end-user needs or vendor specifications. Regular
database capacity planning related to database growth and system
utilization, trend analysis, predictive future database resource
requirements, and the structured organized reporting of the same.
Work closely with other product development, business operations,
and technical operations to ensure delivery of database services
within the SLA's and performance targets. Adapt business
requirements, model data, and develop database specifications,
tables, and element attributes. Coordinate with 3rd party vendors
and contractors to oversee problem resolution or tasking of
additional outside resources on database projects. Determine,
enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new
patches and versions when required. Create and manage Extract,
Transform, and Load (ETL) jobs across a variety of platforms both
internally and to external vendors. Liaison with programmers,
analysts, IT project managers, and other technical staff. Work with
users to diagnose and resolve performance or errors in SQL
Reporting. Coordinate with other departments when new system
releases occur or issues arise requiring changes to production and
operations databases. Other duties as assigned. Physical
Requirements: Must be able to remain in a sitting stationary
position for extended periods of time. Constantly operate a
computer and other office machinery. May be required to lift up to

Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or related
field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
required. At least 18 years of age Excellent Knowledge of data
backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL. Familiarity with
database design, documentation and coding. Hands-on experience with
database standards and end-user applications. Familiarity with
Power BI or other toolsets is a plus. Time management,
organizational and effective communication skills. Possess
problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, meet
deadlines, and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must
successfully pass background investigation according to company
policy. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work
effectively in a team environment. Ability to direct the work of
others (Example: Staff, team, contractors).
