Job Description Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to assist in a variety of legal matters, including research, drafting legal documents, and negotiating on behalf of clients. This role primarily focuses on litigation, with an emphasis on property and business litigation. The position includes full benefits, with employer-paid health, vision, and dental insurance or a cash-in-lieu option. Duties Conduct legal research related to property and business law Draft discovery requests and responses, pleadings, and motions Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing counsel or parties Assist in representing clients in court proceedings Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters Stay current on changes in relevant laws and litigation procedures (including Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code) Manage case files and maintain accurate records Bill approximately 7 hours per day Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Admitted to the Texas Bar and in good standing, or pending admission for new graduates/Texas Bar applicants Litigation experience preferred Strong legal research and writing skills Effective negotiation skills and clear, persuasive communication abilities This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of business and property litigation matters within a collaborative and supportive environment.
