J ob Description Licensed Vocation Nurse - LVN Correctional Medicine Clinics (TDCJ) MEDRelief Staffing is a Joint Commission Certified Agency that has been a leader in healthcare staffing for over 30 years in Houston, TX servicing Hospitals, Clinics and healthcare facilities with temporary staffing services. We staff Hospitals, Emergency ER Centers, Imaging Centers, correctional medicine and outpatient clinics in the Texas region.We are searching for experienced Licensed Vocation Nurses - LVN's to work on a contract scheduling basis with the correctional medicine clinics that we are staffing in TX area prisons with our client.This opportunity will require you to float and work at various clinics in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice prisons (TDCJ) as a Licensed Vocation Nurse - LVN LVN, Licensed Vocation Nurse. Details: * Per diem or Contract, weekdays, weeknights, weekends (part time or full time)* Performing direct patient care in a clinical setting* Will work under the direct supervision of clinical staff and physiciansRequirements: * Must have a minimum of (1) recent year of LVN, Licensed Vocation Nursing experience in an acute care environment as an LVN, Licensed Vocation Nurse * Nursing Home experience will not be considered as acute care * Minimum of 2 years secondary college or training certification* Valid BLS certification thru American Heart Associate Healthcare Provider Training* IV Therapy certification* Immunizations (MMR, Varicella and TB screening)* IV Certified * Clean background* Must pass a drug screenJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $30.00 Plus per hourJob Requirements:* Ensure full census at OMH adult programs* Participating in programming that positively affects enrollment and retention of new adult learners* Seek out and develop new adult and underrepresented student markets Tracking and Assessment* Advise applicants as appropriate; and assist with the preparation of all correspondence to adult learner applicants* Create designs for young adult and middle grade fiction and nonfiction titles that are appropriate for both physical and digital versions of the book* Provide day-to-day coordination and implementation of young adult reentry services with team members for persons involved with justice system to achieve contract goals, objectives* Planning and implementing activity services for young adult patients, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care* Assist the Manager of New Student Transitions and the Office of Marketing and Public Relations in developing and maintaining website content for adult learners and develop messaging, strategies* Meet all certification requirements for the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse, CARF or other accrediting agencies* Maintain quality and continuity of adult substance abuse including co-occurring disorder treatment* Developed in conjunction with the patient/family* Care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team* Serve as a liaison with community resources* Assist in the developmental and updating of the program manual* Provide a seamless integration of services* Maintain order in the community* Participate in the hiring process* Exhibit flexibility and a strong desire to provide person centered care with a non-institutional approach* Recognize and adhere to the rules of confidentiality* Assist in maintaining the appropriate participant to staff ratios
