You Will Be Responsible For:

* Oversees the development of an organization-wide, internal and external communications plan that includes the development of all publications, advertising, and media relations. * Ensures and protects the credibility of AdventHealth by consistent use of an overall brand and style. * Oversees the creation, development and execution of Outreach programs, educational offerings, health screenings and other events and activities related to CREATION Life, including Community Benefit tracking and ongoing Community Health Needs Assessment Plan implementation. * Prepares reports and analyses setting forth progress, trends and offers appropriate recommendations or conclusions. * Submits reports and requests for information by established deadlines. * Represents AdventHealth in a professional manner to employees and community members. * Promotes professionalism in appearance, positive attitude, and confidentiality. * Participates in the strategic planning efforts * Oversees and coordinates research through outside sources and internal sources for service/product development; develops and coordinates the use of an evaluation, creative problem-solving and implementation process for service/product development. * Develops, implements and evaluates policies, standards, educational services, and programs that support the department. * Demonstrates initiatives in developing, implementing and analyzing quality improvement activities and outcomes of the department. * Develops and submits budget assumptions, capital and annual budgets for the departments. * Initiates activities to enhance revenues and support cost reduction and containment activities. * Initiates and/or participates in methods to reduce salary expenses (i.e. FTE reduction, skill mix changes, Overtime usage, PRN usage, Agency Usage, and census fluctuation). * Shows evidence of productivity as measured by the goals of worked & paid FTE's, and actively manages the overall department budget. * Analyzes and monitors compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency standards, including JCAHO, TDH, licensing boards, etc. * Identifies and corrects environmental and practice safety issues. * Contributes to the recruitment and retention of employees. * Employee performance evaluations completed (administered, signed by the employee and submitted to Human Resources) within 30 days of the annual evaluation due date. * Resolves employee satisfaction concerns in a timely manner, assuring they have been thoroughly investigated and appropriate actions taken, including notification of Human Resources if necessary. * Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVIOSRY RESPONSIBILTIES:

* Directly supervises 3 subordinates. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments and their employees. * Directly supervises all exempt and non-exempt (hourly) employees in the following departments: Marketing, and Community Relations. * Attend Extended Executive Council meetings weekly. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. In conducting these activities, the Director will exercise independent judgment and discretion in the interest of AdventHealth Central Texas. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Effectively conducts counseling, disciplinary and termination sessions as needed, utilizing organizational and management skills. Analyzes performance and prepares evaluations, effectively conducts annual performance reviews for subordinates in accordance with organizational policy and procedure

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

* Bachelor's degree from fouryear college or university, master's degree preferably in business or healthcare administration or equivalent in experience. * Minimum five years' experience in areas of strategic planning, marketing, public relations, community relations, and communications in a healthcare setting.

Job Summary:

Responsible for all Marketing, and Community Relations initiatives; developing and implementing PR and Marketing events, activities and processes for AdventHealth Central Texas and its individual entities, along with implementation of best practices in Patient Experience. Oversee wellness activities and community health initiatives. Serves as the Public Information Officer. Assists in the development and implementation of an annual interactive, systematic strategic planning process and marketing strategy. Work to align local efforts with corporate efforts.
