Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. UMHB is a private faith based university located in Belton, Texas which is approximately 60 miles north of Austin. This Sodexo food service account includes Resident Dining, Catering, Retail, and Concessions.


The main focus for this Food Service Manager position will be to oversee Resident Dining operations and all concession operations on campus. Resident Dining operations consist of a 375 seat dining room, multiple stations, and serves 1300 - 1700 meals daily. Majority of concessions operations take place in our beautiful 7,000 seat football stadium. In addition, we offer concessions for basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, and softball.  Typical shift for this role is 10am - 8pm.


The successful candidate for this Manager position will be career driven with excellent organizational, time management and computer skills. An eye for detail and a passion for customer service is a must.  The successful candidate will also have a high level of knowledge in HACCP, safety, labor, and food cost management. This role will report directly to the General Manager and will have 30 to 40 direct reports including 3 hourly supervisors.

Position Summary:

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Duties
- Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
- Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
- Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement



Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent     

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
